This describes how cookies work on a Shopify store. Check it against the cookie banner and any apps you install, and have it reviewed before you start trading.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things between page loads and between visits, such as what is in your cart.
What we use them for
Strictly necessary
These make the store work at all: keeping your shopping cart between pages, keeping you signed in, processing checkout securely, and protecting against fraud. The store cannot function without them, so they are not optional.
Analytics
These tell us, in aggregate, which pages people visit and where they give up. We use them to work out which product explanations are unclear. They do not identify you personally to us.
Marketing
These may be used to measure whether an advert led to a visit, and to avoid showing you the same advert repeatedly. Where consent is required, these are only set after you agree.
Who sets them
Some cookies are set by this store directly. Others are set by Shopify, which hosts and powers the store and its checkout, and by any payment, analytics or marketing services in use. Those providers process data under their own privacy notices.
Your choices
Where the law requires consent, you are asked before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings on this site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.
More information
How we handle personal data generally is set out in our Privacy policy. If you have questions about cookies specifically, contact us using the details on our Contact page.
